Our newest initiative, College Bound Conservatory, will provide 50 string and piano students with music school preparatory instruction and experiences. These students aspire to study music at the undergraduate level insome of the top music schools in the country. Every Saturday throughout the school year, students will spend an entire day taking private lessons, chamber music, master classes, music theory, teacher training, SAT and ACT prep classes. Included in the programming are quarterly college tours, workshops covering auditioning, competitions and orchestral excerpts. Participants are selected by competitive audition and will comprise students from Chicago's south side, Chicagoland, and around the mid-west.

Tuition for this prestigious, rigorous, comprehensive classical music experience is FREE. This program will be funded by grants, individual donors and fundraising
projects. Partner music schools will provide guest artists for performances, master classes, and mentors.

The College Bound program meets on Saturdays during the regular school year from September to May. All students in the program must participate in all program components. Entrance is by selective audition. Audition requirements will be posted in June and held in August.

Time: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
All components are MANDATORY. Students are expected to be available for the entire time and must bring a bag lunch. No off-campus lunch breaks will be allowed.
Students are responsible for their instruments, music, and
transportation to HPSI.
